As with any inexpensive tools, this kit is not without its problems, but they’re such minor ones I’d surely make this purchase again if needed. The drill itself is very good, variable speed, 18 torque adjustments and a high/low speed switch, the battery is long lasting and strong (it even arrives fully charged!).

I would suggest to any potential buyer to add their own quality bitset to be completely satisfied.

The low cost is apparent when using the driver bits. They’re dollar store or harbor freight quality... useful but quickly show they’re not of good quality. 11 #2 screws into plastic anchors and the bit already shows signs of wear.

Great Drill, affordable price

For the money, this is a great combo set. I purchased this drill to use at work. I have been using this drill to start a gas liquid transfer pump we have at my job. I have a bad back, and this engine is a pain to start. So pulling on the recoil starter is not good for me. On setting 1, it has sufficient torque but not enough speed for my particular needs. Speed 2, seems just fast enough to turn the motor over and get it running. This drill is a life saver, or back saver, that quite frankly I couldn't live without at this point in my life, and for my needs works perfectly. I have an expensive Dewalt drill and impact. Cost me over $300 just for the drill and $120 for the impact driver. Now I will say that you do get what you pay for. There are many obvious build qualities in the Dewalt that surpass this Porter Cable. For instance, the chuck on my Dewalt is metal, this Porter Cable is plastic. The actual size of the drills too, this Porter Cable is much smaller than my black and yellow one. I'm am by no means saying that makes it a bad tool, just not a heavy duty tool. I didn't want to ruin my good drill on the job, so that's why I bought this one. However, for a regular person or homeowner, I think this is a great drill. I did take off 1 star because of the batteries. A 1.3 amp hour battery is not sufficient and seems cheaply made. With both batteries, thats 2.6 amp hours of work time, my Dewalt is two 3.0 amp hours(which I have 4 of because I bought my drill and impact separately) . But again the price reflects that. I am not using the carry bag that came with it, I prefer hard cases, especially in my work truck. I'm using a Dewalt power tool case and Stanley power inverter I purchased as well here on Amazon. Overall though, I'm extremely satisfied with the build and price of this drill and, I am considering purchasing a second one for home as a backup.

Small but strong.

Great kit. I am a woman, so I appreciate the smaller size of the drill and how lightweight it is. I have small hands, so the drill fits perfectly. And dont let its size fool you. I was able to drill in concrete walls with no problem (NOTE: the bits included are only for wood, you need to buy separately concrete drill bits). The battery lasts a long time. I did not charge it when I first received it until about 3 weeks after and it still had charge in it. Has all the tools one may need. I did buy a tool box and transferred all the tools to it, just to have everything more organized and easily visible and to temper my OCD. Great package deal. Very happy with it.

Makes auto repair/restore _much_ easier and more fun. Get one. The bag is tiny :)

I love this thing. I've been working on cars a long, long time and wish I had gotten one sooner. It makes working on cars much faster and more fun. If you fix or modify cars, think about how much time you spend taking nuts and bolts on and off of parts. Bolts on a car may be 15-24 threads per inch, meaning you have to turn a bolt 15 full revolutions to move each bolt one inch. Now imagine if that was almost instantaneous.

This has a lot of torque for a lightweight tool so it can handle a lot of jobs and it's fairly small and cordless so it can get into a lot of spots underneath the car. For bolts that are on too tight for this tool, I still loosen it with a wrench then hit it with this driver because it saves to much time. Same thing for tightening - I'll run it up most or all of the way (depending on torque needed) then set the final torque with a torque wrench.

The bag is not quite to the scale shown in the picture. It's cute for carrying a sandwich to your work site, just don't expect to carry a club sandwich or something with a lot of tomato.

Everything needed in a drill for small and large projects

Used to live with construction workers and wanted a drill that was comparable to theirs. I honestly prefer this one over the dewalt one that is comparable to. You can use pretty much any drill bit you want with this (even dremel sized) and it's light weight and a lot of control over the speed. Honestly gonna use this drill over my dremel, even when it comes down to smaller projects. Also you can't beat that it's pink, so you don't have to worry about it getting picked up by accident ;)

Affordable drill

This item might be a good choice if you are looking for a drill or a screwdriver for home projects. Actually I've never really used a drill before. I purchased it because I needed something simple to perform light DIY work in my new house.

I'm extremely pleased with this drill. It stops spinning as soon as you release the trigger, which is a good feature I like. It also has an adjustable clutch, so it works very nicely as a screwdriver. I was able to easily drill holes in wood and reinforce my door hinges with longer 3" screws as well as some other screw driving work. I'm guessing this drill might not work well for things like concreate or steel.

You'll Love it!!

I ordered this drill as I had some home repair projects to do. I already had a B&D Trimmer, which I really like too. So I already had a few extra

batteries for back-up. (never needed to use them).

I have been pleasantly surprised at the torque power. The battery lasted over 4 hours, and was going strong when I had finished my project.

This drill is not meant to build a house, but it sure is an excellent tool to have to do jobs around the house.

The added bits are nice too.
